Who we are

Counselling to Progress ("we", "us") is an online psychological counselling practice serving clients in India. This policy applies to counselling-to-progress.com and covers the information we collect through the site, the booking process, and our WhatsApp handoff.

What we collect

When you use the booking flow or contact form, we collect the name, phone number, and (where provided) email address you enter, along with the service you selected. If you reach out as an organization, we also collect your organization name and message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, where applicable, arrange your session — never for advertising or resale.

Session content shared with your counsellor is strictly confidential and is not covered by this policy in the same way as website data — it is governed by the confidentiality standards of professional counselling practice.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses two categories of cookies:

Essential cookies keep the site and admin portal functioning (for example, keeping an admin logged in) and cannot be switched off, as the site would not work correctly without them.

Analytics cookies are optional and only set if you accept them via the cookie banner. We use PostHog, a privacy-conscious analytics provider, to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited, where people drop off in the booking flow, and similar aggregate patterns — so we can improve the experience. Any text you type into forms (your name, phone number, etc.) is never recorded by this tool, regardless of whether you accept analytics cookies. You can decline analytics cookies at any time without affecting your ability to book a session or contact us.

Who we share information with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and practice, each bound to use your information only for the purpose we specify:

Google (Calendar & Meet) — to schedule sessions and issue video call links. Zoho Mail — to send booking and enquiry confirmations. PostHog — for analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies. WhatsApp — if you choose to continue your enquiry on WhatsApp, that conversation happens directly between you and our number; we don't control WhatsApp's own handling of that chat.

We do not use advertising trackers such as the Meta Pixel, and we do not sell or share your information with data brokers or advertisers.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, request correction or erasure of that data, withdraw consent for optional data processing (such as analytics) at any time, and raise a grievance if you believe your data has been mishandled.

Data retention

We retain enquiry and booking information for as long as needed to provide our services and meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Analytics data is retained by PostHog according to their standard retention period and is not linked back to your name or contact details.
